Fishing on this water is restricted to members who actively support the club. This means committee members, volunteer bailiffs, members of the environmental team, trustees, members who regularly turn up to help at work parties or those who have a recognised special role.
Be aware that the ford near the parking area is to be removed in summer 2026. This will allow fish to migrate up and down the water course.
Since the pollution incident in 2023 the beck above and below the ford has been stocked with between six and eight thousand grayling fry.
The beck is recovering and the fishing will get better over time.
Species
Trout and Grayling.

Driving from Scotch Corner towards Richmond on the A6108, take the right hand turn to Sedbury Lane on the sharp bend. About a half a mile along on the left hand side is the entrance to the farm track, see photo above.

A couple of hundred metres down the track there is a parking space for two cars on the right hand side. It is marked by a yellow RADAS parking sign.

A few metres beyond the parking is the beck; the photo above shows the R&DAS top (upstream) limit which is the ford and bridge pictured above. R&DAS rights are downstream for 200M on the North East bank (near-side in the photo) and downstream on the South West bank (far-side in the photo) for about three quarters of a mile to Skeeby bridge where the A6108 crosses the beck
