Thornaby Angling Association (TAA) Rules Must be Followed
The information below is provided by Thornaby Angling Association (TAA) and must be followed by all R&DAS members who fish it. COW PASTURE LAKE IS NOT ACCESSIBLE ON A R&DAS DAY TICKET.
Please note the very last line in the rules below states reference to "General Waters Rule 7 regrading the use of rods"; this is detailed as follows:
Two rods may be in use when either one or both are fishing with ledger / feeder. Both rods must be set so that the rod butts are no more than 2 metres apart and don’t interfere with an angler that may turn up to fish the adjacent or opposite peg. In the interest of protecting wildfowl, it would not be acceptable for both rods to be using a floating/ surface bait.
Please note that Cow Pasture Lake is closed to R&DAS members on the following dates due to TAA matches:

There is a generous parking area on the side of the road. This is a couple of hundred yards up the entry road. The entry road is single track with passing places.

The lake itself is pegged for matches with excellent platforms. There is a small island (shown above) and a large island in the lake.
The lake is surrounded by otter-proof fencing - please ensure the gate is closed properly upon entry/exit.
